Every moment of every day we are in need of God’s involvement in our lives. The following are just some of the items, with corresponding promises, for which we need to be trusting God.
• Guidance
The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all those who keep his covenant and obey his decrees. (Psalm 25:10, NLT)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5,6, NLT)
• Provision
Let the LORD’s people show him reverence, for those who honor him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will never lack any good thing. (Psalm 34:9,10, NLT)
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. (Psalm 23:1, NIV)
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19, NIV)
• Protection
Love the LORD, all you faithful ones! For the LORD protects those who are loyal to him, but he harshly punishes all who are arrogant. So be strong and take courage, all you who put your hope in the LORD! (Psalm 31:23,24, NLT)
The LORD is my light and my salvation–so why should I be afraid? The LORD protects me from danger–so why should I tremble? (Psalm 27:1, NLT)
But the Lord is faithful; he will make you strong and guard you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3, NLT)
• Health
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. (Proverbs 3:7, 8, NIV)
My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. (Proverbs 4:20-22, NIV)
• Strength
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31, NIV)
I can do everything through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13, NIV)
God is completely trustworthy. There is no one who cares more about you. There is no one who has greater abilities. There is no one who can guarantee promises made to you with more integrity.
What are you willing to entrust to God today because you have faith in His character, capabilities, and love for you?
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you trust God more every day as you grow in your relationship with Him.
Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. (Psalm 9:10, NIV)
